4. COOKIES
This website (www.contravision.com) is owned and operated by Contra Vision Limited.
Cookies are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site and to help deliver adverts correctly.
When someone visits, we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out such things as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. We collect this information in a way which does not personally identify anyone.
Most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set and how to manage and delete them, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
The information below explains the cookies we use, why we use them and when they are set.
Cookies set by Google Analytics
Google analytics information allows us to see how people are using the site (how many people visit, how long people spend on each page, where people go and other site usage information). Google has access to that information if you are signed into Google as you browse. We can only see ‘aggregated’ results, that is, we can’t identify individual people from their browsing session.
Cookies set by Google Analytics and when they expire:
__utma – 2 years
__utmb – 30 minutes
__utmc – When you quit your browser
__utmz – 6 months
Cookies set by us
When you browse the web, each page is completely disconnected from the others: each page request is served by the server, which then forgets everything about the request. In some cases, such as when you have 10 pages of search results or when you are logged in, it’s helpful to carry information from page to page. So the server sets a session cookie that lets it remember, amongst other things, what is in your shopping basket or which page of search results you are on. This is called a ‘session’ cookie.
ASP.NET_SessionId – Deleted when you close your browser (or after 20 minutes)
When you acknowledge that you understand that we use cookies by closing the notification at the bottom of each page, or by following the link to this page, we set a cookie so that we don’t show you the notification again.
5. LINKS TO OTHER SITES
The Contra Vision website contains links to other websites. Please note that our terms and conditions and our policies will not apply to other websites that you reach via a link from our site. If you transfer to another website, you should read their data protection statement for their policy on the use of personal information.
6. HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION THAT WE COLLECT
We use information about you to:
- Process an order placed by you.
- Present site content effectively to you.
- Provide information, products and services that you request.
- Tell you about other goods and services that might interest you.
7. WHERE WE STORE YOUR DATA
Your information is stored securely within the website. If appropriate for marketing purposes, your information may also be stored within a separate secure database.
8. DISCLOSING YOUR INFORMATION
We do not disclose your information to any third parties. However, we may have to disclose personal information about you to third parties if we are under a duty to disclose or share personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation.
9. YOUR RIGHTS
